A Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology delegation participated in a TOT specialized in digital marketing via social media platforms. The course is included in the GRIT project, implemented by the Lutheran World Federation in partnership with the Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR) and funded by the Canadian government. The course was organized in Ramallah's Lutheran World Federation vocational training center.

The course lasted for 20 training hours provided by Tariq AlBakri, an expert, specialist, and consultant in digital marketing via social media platforms. The participants were Miss. Sarab Alsayeh, Mr. Eyad Bishawi, and Mr. Muhammed Joudallah.

The course included several important topics in digital marketing, some of which are considered the most advanced on a global scale and are being discussed for the first time in Palestine. The most important topics are introducing social media platforms and the differences between them in terms of the platform's nature, its users, and how to choose what is the best business in each one; illustrating the mechanisms of social media algorithms; providing definitions of marketing goals and strategies for Facebook and demonstrating differences between them; explaining the term "the customer journey" and linking it to marketing via social media platforms.

Additionally, participants through the course were trained in detail on the mechanisms of a sponsored advertising campaign through social media platforms, especially Facebook and Instagram; the method of choosing types of sponsored ads; the best way to select the target audience and the geographical location, the way of calculating the cost of an ad campaign and to figure out the reach rate of the audience according to the type of each campaign.

The Dean of Hisham Hijjawi College, Dr. Omar Massad, stated that this course fits with the College's vision and mission to improve education in line with the labor market and to develop staff through participation in as many courses and workshops as possible through partnerships with local and international organizations.
