Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology Organizes Second AI Training Course for Its Staff
In line with its vision to develop the academic and administrative staff and prepare them with future-ready skills that ensure the sustainability of educational quality, Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology at An-Najah National University organized its second training course on artificial intelligence on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. The course was held for staff members from both Hisham Hijjawi College and An-Najah National Community College under the title: “Prompt Engineering and Techniques for Using Artificial Intelligence Efficiently and Professionally.”
The training was delivered by Dr. Zina Mardawi, AI specialist at An-Najah National Community College, with the presence of Dr. Amer Massad, Dean of Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology and An-Najah National Community College, alongside department heads and members of the academic and administrative staff. The course was hosted at the College campus.
The program introduced participants to the fundamentals of generative AI and presented advanced strategies in prompt engineering, enabling academics to effectively integrate AI tools into teaching and scientific research. It also covered different types of prompts and how to refine them for optimal results. The sessions included hands-on applications, allowing participants from various disciplines to practice real use cases.
This course builds on the first AI training, which the College held earlier on June 3, 2025, via Zoom, reflecting the University’s continued commitment to advancing digital transformation in higher education.
