On Tuesday and Wednesday, September 24–25, 2024, the Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology at An-Najah National University hosted the theoretical part of the 2024 Summer Comprehensive Exam, administered by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for diploma-level students. The exam was held in the College’s halls in Nablus and included graduates from Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology, An-Najah National Community College, Al-Rawda University College, and Andaleeb Al-Ahmed College for Nursing and Midwifery.

The Comprehensive Exam is designed to measure students’ ability to integrate both fundamental and advanced concepts acquired during their studies, apply them to solving academic and practical problems, and demonstrate readiness for professional practice. It also serves as a key requirement for bridging programs at Palestinian universities and for eligibility to apply for government positions.

Dr. Amer Massad, Dean of Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology, expressed his pleasure in hosting the theoretical exam, welcoming the graduates from across the participating colleges as well as the exam supervisors and proctors. He noted that the College worked for days to ensure full readiness, organizing the process in a way that facilitated a smooth experience for students. He also extended his thanks to everyone inside and outside the College who contributed to the success of this national exam.

Eng. Mohammad Zahlan, Head of Workshops and Laboratories at the College and Chief Exam Hall Supervisor, also thanked all those involved in organizing the exam. He stressed that Hisham Hijjawi College possesses the infrastructure and resources necessary to host such large-scale national exams, and highlighted the technical expertise of the College’s staff, who prepared the halls in line with protocols set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

It is worth noting that the College will also host the practical part of the 2024 Summer Comprehensive Exam on Sunday, September 29, 2024, for students of Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology and An-Najah National Community College in specializations requiring hands-on assessments.
