Hisham Hijjawi College and Nablus Chamber of Commerce Launch Cutting-Edge Sewing and Technology Course

An-Najah Center for Training and Rehabilitation at Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology, in partnership with the Nablus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) through the HWK Cologne Chamber Project, officially launched a specialized course on the Basics and Technology of Sewing on Thursday, July 6, 2023. The 25-hour training course is conducted in the college’s advanced laboratories, overseen by a team of experts from Hisham Hijjawi College.
The launch event was attended by key figures including Mr. Alaa Darwish, Head of An-Najah Training and Rehabilitation Center and Coordinator of the Studies and Projects Unit at the college; Mr. Mohammed Suleiman, Head of the Applied Arts Department and course trainer; and Eng. Alaa Istaitieh, Coordinator of the Vocational and Technical Training Unit at NCCI, representing the Chamber of Commerce. The course participants, eager to enhance their skills in the sewing and fashion industry, also attended the event.
Mr. Darwish welcomed the attendees and participants, reaffirming the college’s dedication to producing graduates who meet the high demands of both local and global job markets. He highlighted the college’s leadership in fashion and clothing technology, underscoring the exceptional quality of its specialized team and state-of-the-art laboratories, which position Hisham Hijjawi College as a leader in vocational education.
Eng. Istaitieh, representing NCCI, praised the strong partnership between the Chamber and Hisham Hijjawi College, recognizing the high caliber of its graduates. She emphasized the growing importance of integrating technology into the sewing and fashion design industry, particularly as the job market increasingly demands skilled professionals who can innovate and adapt to modern production methods.
