The Studies and Projects Unit is one of the administrative units operating under the Office of the Dean at Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology. The Unit plays a key role in achieving the college’s strategic development objectives.
It works in close collaboration with academic departments and administrative divisions to develop the college’s infrastructure and resources, enhance staff and student capacities, and implement both academic and community-oriented projects.
The Unit also coordinates and streamlines efforts across the college to manage, monitor, and report on all development projects funded by local and international donor institutions. Through this, it aims to establish an integrated and standardized framework for project implementation, ensuring optimal utilization of available resources in the most effective and efficient way.
Ensuring the successful implementation of projects under all circumstances.
The Studies and Projects Unit ensures that all externally funded development projects are effectively executed and aligned with the college’s strategic goals.
It oversees every stage of the project life cycle — from planning and budgeting to implementation and evaluation — ensuring that each project achieves its intended objectives and long-term impact efficiently and successfully.
The Unit was established to enhance and standardize the methodology of project management and execution — ensuring that all projects are managed, directed, and completed successfully from initiation to closure, in accordance with best practices and international standards.
In line with its mission and vision, the Unit’s main responsibilities include:
- Preparing proposals for developmental and capacity-building projects based on the college’s needs, in response to opportunities announced by local, regional, and international funding programs. This includes drafting project concept notes, budget plans, and management frameworks.
- Strengthening relations with donor institutions at the local, regional, and international levels to promote academic and developmental cooperation and exchange of innovative practices.
- Monitoring project implementation and maintaining continuous communication with funding agencies.
- Supervising and managing projects to ensure successful delivery, sustainability, and long-term impact.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coordinating communication channels among various internal stakeholders (such as the Procurement Department, Internal Audit Department, and academic divisions).
- Managing and following up on the sustainability of project outcomes.
