The Public Relations Department plays a significant role in the college since it has the overall responsibility of projecting a positive image of the College to the public domain through implementing various activities developed by the College's labs and centers, preparing publications and managing events, conferences and cultural displays which serve the college and local community .

Since establishment, the department achieved and maintained excellence in academic and institutional disciplines which allowed the college to build partnership with the local and international community and be a beacon of innovation in the region.

The Public Relations Unit includes the Department of Field Training and Employment which offers a field training course to prepare students of different specializations to the Labour market.

The Public Relations Unit is responsible for shaping and developing the image of the College among its diverse audiences, which include students, staff, institutions and individuals from the city, the nation, and the international community. This responsibility entails building a positive reputation for the College, addressing challenges that may hinder this image, and strengthening its standing through strategic communication, event management, and cooperation with local and international partners.

The Unit seeks to safeguard and enhance the College’s image by reflecting its achievements and successes. This is achieved by understanding the needs and aspirations of both internal and external audiences, earning their trust and support, and fostering constructive engagement through research, analysis, and professional communication strategies.

Mission

The mission of the Unit is to reinforce public trust in the College’s values and vision. Acting as a bridge between the College and its stakeholders, the Unit engages in diverse fields such as journalism, radio, television, digital media, publications, conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and cultural and educational events. It also works to strengthen collaboration with public, private, and civil society institutions, and to nurture relationships between the College, its academic and administrative staff, and its students — during their studies and beyond graduation.

The Media Unit provides coverage of the College’s events to enhance engagement with various media outlets. It prepares news reports on the College, its centers, facilities, students, academic staff, and activities. It also documents and archives events, invites media representatives to cover major activities, and maintains an electronic archive of all published materials.

Through its publications, the Unit engages with internal, local, and international audiences by presenting updates on the College’s activities and developments. Among its regular publications are:

  • Annual Graduation Book: Featuring speeches, lists of faculty and graduates, and highlights of the ceremony.
  • Student Guide for High School Graduates: Issued annually, outlining academic programs, credit hours, admission requirements, scholarships, and financial aid.
  • College Brochures: Presenting the College’s history, academic programs, and facilities.
  • High School Student Bulletins: Distributed across schools, providing detailed information on academic programs and admissions.
  • School Visit Flyers: Informational materials for visiting students that introduce the College’s academic and extracurricular offerings.

The Unit organizes academic and extracurricular events that enrich student life and foster engagement with the community. These include:

  • Scientific Conferences and Workshops: Supporting education, research, and knowledge exchange.
  • Scientific and Cultural Exhibitions: Highlighting innovation, arts, and professional skills while involving external institutions.
  • Delegation Visits: Hosting national and international visitors to showcase the College’s programs and facilities.
  • School Visits: Welcoming hundreds of students annually in coordination with the Ministry of Education, providing guidance and raising awareness about technical and vocational education.

Through these efforts, the Public Relations Unit serves as a vital link between the College and its community, promoting academic excellence, fostering partnerships, and enhancing the College’s contribution to sustainable development.
