Field Training Unit
The Field Training Unit at Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology is an applied administrative unit that plays a complementary role to the work of the college’s various academic departments. Its primary goal is to ensure that students receive hands-on training experiences aligned with the college’s mission and objectives.
The unit is responsible for organizing and supervising all aspects of student training across disciplines. It conducts extensive coordination between academic departments, faculty supervisors overseeing student placements, and students seeking field training opportunities in institutions, organizations, and companies that host trainees. Through this coordination, each student is placed in a suitable institution to receive practical training under direct supervision.
This unit serves as an essential extension of the practical training students receive within the college’s laboratories and workshops. It provides students with real-world exposure to the job market, thereby enhancing their employability and readiness for professional integration.
Additionally, the unit works to build strong partnerships with public and private institutions, as well as with industrial and service sectors locally and internationally, to expand the college’s network of training opportunities.
The Field Training Unit strives to establish strong, effective, and sustainable relationships in the field of practical training — linking the college’s departments, faculty members, and students with public and private institutions, as well as industrial and service sectors at the local and international levels. Through this, the unit contributes to preparing highly qualified graduates capable of meeting the needs of the labor market.
