 Dental Assistant

The Dental Assistant Program at Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology is the first of its kind locally, offering a unique opportunity that combines academic study with practical training. The program spans two years and is designed to equip students with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed in the field of dental assisting.

Dentistry is a cornerstone of national healthcare, providing both therapeutic and cosmetic services that contribute significantly to public health and well-being. However, dental clinics and centers—whether public or private—often lack qualified dental assistants who can professionally manage the wide range of technical tasks required in multi-specialty centers or individual clinics. This shortage can compromise the quality of services delivered by dentists, placing additional technical and medical pressures on them.

The Palestinian labor market has a pressing need for trained dental assistants who can support dentists in all technical aspects of care. This is where the Dental Assistant Program plays a vital role—graduating highly skilled professionals prepared to fill this gap.

The program has been carefully designed to meet the demands of the Palestinian market by producing graduates who are well-qualified both theoretically and practically. They are capable of supporting dentists with clinical procedures, managing preparatory work, and ensuring patients receive efficient and high-quality care. The program’s objectives are fully aligned with the mission and vision of Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology, emphasizing excellence, innovation, and responsiveness to community and market needs.
