The Manufacturing and Production Engineering program aims to train technicians in the design, production, and maintenance of industrial production lines. Students also gain expertise in designing and producing a wide range of mechanical components using both computer numerical control (CNC) machines and conventional manufacturing equipment.
The program provides students with hands-on skills in a variety of areas, including:
- Welding techniques of various types.
- Computer-aided design (CAD).
- CNC-based manufacturing processes.
- Operation of conventional machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, as well as hand tools.
- Non-cutting manufacturing methods, including casting, molding, and hot and cold forming.
- Design and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic (compressed-air control) systems.
- Understanding the properties of engineering materials and their applications in producing mechanical assemblies.
Program duration: two academic years, totaling 72 credit hours.
