Automotive Mechatronics
This program aims to graduate skilled technicians specialized in the maintenance of modern engines and the use of advanced diagnostic tools for fault detection. Graduates are trained at the technical level in automotive mechatronics, qualifying them to work independently or under the supervision of automotive engineers in service centers and vehicle workshops.
Graduates of the program will be able to:
• Use advanced electronic diagnostic tools, such as scanners, to identify electromechanical faults in vehicles.
• Analyze diagnostic test results and follow vehicle wiring diagrams and service manuals to identify faults in electromechanical systems.
• Maintain and repair electromechanical systems, as well as mechanical and electrical components in vehicles.
• Service and repair internal combustion engines, gasoline and diesel engine management systems.
• Maintain and repair alternative fuel systems in cars, including hybrid vehicle technologies.
• Trace, repair, and replace wiring, sensors, and actuators in modern safety and comfort systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electronic and electrical components of automatic transmission systems, including hydraulic issues.
• Identify and service immobilizer and central locking systems, and troubleshoot CAN bus (Controller Area Network) systems.
• Repair and maintain body electronics systems such as power windows, sunroofs, lighting, and parking sensors.
• Perform tasks independently in accordance with work orders, professional standards, and occupational safety and health requirements.
• Work effectively as part of a team, planning and organizing work processes based on technical requirements.
• Communicate professionally with clients, understand their needs, and provide technical advice on services and products offered in repair workshops.
Graduates of the Automotive Mechatronics program can work in:
• Automotive companies and dealerships.
• Vehicle maintenance and repair workshops.
• The Ministry of Transport (Traffic Department).
• Industrial schools.
• Ministries of Education and Higher Education.
• Technical colleges and vocational training institutes.
• Freelance/self-employment in automotive diagnostics and repair.
