A Palestinian Students Fund Organization (PSSF) delegation visited Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology on Sunday, 30/04/2023. The goal of the visit was to learn about the College, its facilities, and its specializations, as well as to discuss ways of future cooperation.

The Organization's delegation, which came from its headquarters in Chicago, USA, included Palestinian expatriate businessmen in the United States, headed by Mr. Ali Ata, the Organization's president. The Organization primarily aims to provide scholarships and financial assistance to Palestine's universities and college students.

Also, accompanied by the delegation, Dr. Abdulsalam Khayyat, An-Najah National University vice president for academic affairs; Dr. Amjad Qanni, head of the scholarships office of An-Najah University; and some members of the academic and administrative faculties of the University.

 Some officials welcomed and greeted the delegation: the dean of Hisham Hijjawi College, Dr. Amir Massad; heads of academic and administrative departments; and several members of the academic and teaching faculties at the College.

Dr Massad welcomed the delegation at the beginning of the visit and expressed his pride in hosting successful Palestinian models who left their unique marks as well as being prosperous in different fields in the United States. He also praised their initiative, which came to light by founding an organization to support students in various Palestinian universities and colleges. Then, the dean briefly introduced Hisham Hijjawi College, its programs, and specializations, whether at the professional diploma level (one-year program) or intermediate diploma level (two-year program).

The meeting also included a short introductory video of the College, its specializations, and its facilities. The delegation had as well an introductory tour of the College's prominent labs and its key facilities. During the tour, lab supervisors elaborated on each lab, including the specializations and courses practiced in them.

The College's infrastructure, specializations, and effective role in the labor market impressed the delegation. They also expressed their will to open the horizon of future cooperation with the College and financially support some fields to assist the College and the Palestinian community in the technical field.

The delegation's visit is a follow-up to their participation in the Organization's second annual conference. An-Najah National University hosted this year's conference in its second annual, which several Palestinian universities attended.
