The Geomatics and Aerial Surveying program enables graduates to acquire the scientific and practical skills needed to use modern surveying instruments and systems in construction work, including producing various survey maps, whether topographic or detailed, setting out engineering projects, calculating quantities, and producing accurate plans for different types of real estate. The program also aims to provide students with advanced skills in spatial data analysis and the use of modern techniques in processing digital aerial and satellite imagery. It covers precise methods of measurement and aerial photography and the use of advanced equipment and software for terrain analysis and the extraction of accurate measurements. Emphasis is also placed on positioning applications using the Global Positioning System (GPS).
